M24 - A Milky Way Star Cloud
Here is one of the richest and more beautiful regions of the Sagittarius Milky Way, imaged in hydrogen alpha light -- perhaps for the first time with amateur CCD equipment.
Details around this area reveal prominent dark nebulae like B93 and B92 (above center) where a single 12th magnitude star floats in the middle of B92. The emission nebula at the bottom center of the
image is the complex of IC1283/84.
